Smart Up & Down Organizer
ABOUT ZAZA
Zaza is a compact, electric-powered vertical organizer designed to help users in small apartments easily transfer items to and from a lofted bed.It was designed specifically for Violeta, a stage design student living in a small studio apartment in Tel Aviv, who enjoys working from bed but struggles to carry things up a steep ladder.
The Process – From Frustration to Solution
THE PROJECT
This project focuses on developing a functional, space-efficient solution tailored to the living conditions of a young woman living in a compact studio apartment in Tel Aviv. The goal was to design a product that improves her daily routine by addressing specific challenges she faces in her home, especially those related to mobility and accessibility.
User Persona
Lifestyle:
Spends a lot of time at home, mainly working on her laptop. She also works in makeup and art on film sets, enjoys going out with friends, reading, painting, and cooking.

The product was designed to suit the apartment’s constraints and Violeta’s physical needs, offering a personalized solution that enhances comfort and usability in her living environment.
PROBLEM → SOLUTION
The problem:
Violeta’s studio apartment includes a raised bed with a steep ladder, making it difficult for her to carry items such as her laptop, water bottle, or books up to bed. Since she often works, reads, or relaxes in bed, this created a constant inconvenience.
The solution:
I designed a smart, mobile organizer mounted on a vertical rail and powered by an electric mechanism. This organizer moves up and down as needed, allowing Violeta to easily transport items to her bed without carrying them in her hands.
The organizer features custom compartments and holders for additional personal items.
